Timber Venetians Overview
Cedar Venetians are Australian milled from Plantation grown Western Red Cedar which is sourced from mainly British Columbia, Canada. Most timber blind maufacturers use 2.9mm - 3.2mm thick slats. At TBW we use 4mm thick slats, this improves the insulation properties of the blind. Also it improves the quality and appearance, not to mention the slat is less likely to warp or twist. We even go to the extreme of sanding and rounding off the ends of the slat and then oil, lacquer, stain or paint the ends to stop moisture seeping into it. Hand graded and hand finished. Our quality is second to none.

Western Red Cedar Venetians come in the following:

* Danish Oiled

* Lacquered

* Stained

* Painted Finishes

Our Cedar Venetians are custom made to your exact size requirements. They come standard with a matching Cedar pelmet. The slat sizes are:

* 35mm

* 46mm (Standard Size)

* 60mm

The natural colours of Cedar are graded into three different tones:

* Light

* Medium

* Dark

Being a natural timber product you will get a significant range of colour and grains in your Cedar Venetians. This variation is a feature of the blind and gives it its unique ambience.

The Oil finish is easy to maintain. Just wipe over with an oiled cloth will keep the blind looking great for decades.

The Lacquered finish adds durability and seals the timber from stains and moisture.

Our Cedar LimeWash and Stained finishes give you control over the final colouring of your blinds while still being able to see the natural grain of the timber.

Painted Cedar Blinds can be painted to any paint colour available that you choose. Let us know your requirements.
